Our 13N/14D tour of Central Thailand Holidays begins in the capital of Bangkok, Amphawa home to a famous floating market. Then, travel on to Kanchanaburi and the River Kwai. We will take the train over the Tha Kilen Viaduct to ‘Hell Fire Pass’ before continuing to ancient Ayutthaya and Bang Pa-In.
Your spectacular tropical holiday will end relaxing on the beach at either Koh Lanta or Krabi.

DEPART THE UK
ARRIVE BANGKOK
Today you will arrive in Bangkok. You will be staying here for 2 days. This is the capital of Thailand and a bustling and eccentric gateway to the country. There are beautiful monasteries, colourful markets and opulent palaces.
BANGKOK
Today, we will take a tour of the capital. We will visit The Grand Palace, built by the early kings of the Chakri dynasty. It is home to over fifty temples including Wat Phra Kaeo. Wat Phra Kaeo is Thailand's oldest temple and is home to the thousand-year-old Emerald Buddha. We will also visit the Reclining Buddha at Wat Po and the pretty flower market. Thereafter we will take a long-tail boat to cruise the winding canals of the Chao Phraya River.
BANGKOK to AMPHAWA
AMPHAWA to KANCHANABURI
Today we will drive to Kanchanaburi on the River Kwai. The town is home to natural beauty and is best known for being the location for the infamous Bridge over the River Kwai. We will also visit the Allied Forces cemetery, travel by train to Tham Kra Sae. We will be staying in the floating villas.
KANCHANABURI
Today we will travel by boat downriver through the tropical jungle to visit the stalactites and stalagmites of Lawa cave. Later head to Buddhist shrine in Tham Krasae cave which, during World War Two, was used by the Japanese for storage. After lunch we will visit Nakhon Pathom, home to the Phra Pathom Chedi the largest stupa in the world.
KANCHANABURI to AYUTTHAYA
Today, we will leave Kanchanaburi and drive to Ayutthaya.
AYUTTHAYA to visit BANG PA-IN
Today morning we will leave to explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ayutthaya. In the afternoon, we will travel by long-tail boat to Bang Pa-In, the former summer residence of the Ayutthayan kings.
Today we will leave Ayutthaya to return to Bangkok to take a flight to Krabi. Then, take a boat to the island of Koh Lanta.
The day is at leisure.
