After your breakfast at the hotel, we will drive to Sigiriya and start the sightseeing tour. First, we will climb the 5th century Sigiriya rock fortress. It is a world heritage site, built by King Kashyapa (477-495 AD) known for the Lion Rock which is a beautiful citadel that is 200 meters above from the scrub jungle. Thereafter, we will visit the world-renowned frescoes of the ‘Heavenly Maidens’ of Sigiriya, which are only accessible climbing up a spiral stairway.
We will then be continuing to Polonnaruwa. This was the 2nd capital city of Sri Lanka, built in the 11th and 12th centuries AD and now a world heritage site. We will take a tour of the ruins of the Royal Palace, the Gal Viharaya, the Audience Hall, the Lotus Bath, king Parakramabahu’s statue, and the Parakrama Samudraya lake built by King Parakramabahu. If you wish, we could also visit the famous Hindu Temples like the Shiva Temple, the Lankathilaka, the Vatadage, the Galpotha, the Kiri Vehera and the remains of a former Temple of the Tooth Relic.
Overnight stay at the hotel in Dambulla.
Dambulla - Local Village Visit - Kandy
Today we will take a bullock cart ride to some of the most beautiful places on the island - from the shade of the forests, to the country's historic sites. We will also be visiting a local Sri Lankan village and enjoy a cookery demonstration and home-cooked meal. After a good meal, you definitely cannot miss a canoe ride across a beautiful lake! Later in the day, we leave for Kandy enroute visit the Dambulla Rock Temple - the most impressive of Sri Lanka’s cave temples.

Kandy
After the breakfast at the hotel, we will head on the sightseeing tour planned for the day in Kandy. First we will be visiting the 147 acres large Royal Botanical Gardens that were initially built by a Sinhala king and later expanded by the British. Well, Kandy was the last capital of the Sri Lankan kings, and is a World Heritage Site. Later we'll drive around the Kandy Lake built by the last Sinhala king Sri Wickrama Rajasinghe in 1798 and also visit the Kandy town, Bazaar, and the arts & crafts centre too. In the evening we will visit the Temple of the Tooth and watch Buddhist worship rituals.

Kandy - Negombo - Nuwara Eliya
Today, after your breakfast we leave for Negombo and en route visit a Tea Plantation Factory at Giragama and also, The Elephant Orphanage. What better could be than tasting tea and spending some time with the majestic elephants. Dinner and overnight stay at Hotel in Nuwara Eliya
Nuwara Eliya - Kataragama
This day is special because today you explore the wildlife of Sri Lanka. We leave for Kataragama via Elle & Wellawaya and check in at the hotel.
In the afternoon, we will proceed for the Yala national park; go on a jeep safari. Well, we are pretty excited about it because the park is known for its high density of leopards, perhaps the highest in the world. Next are the mighty lord of the jungles - the elephants. If you are visiting in the wet season, you will see large herds, otherwise lone grumpy males in the dry season! There are sloth bears, wild boars, several species of deer, wild buffalo, reptilian species and platoons of crocodiles.
As for our bird watchers we have a huge diversity including the migratory species such as the flamingos. This park is one of the few places on the earth where endangered black necked stork can still be seen.
Overnight stay at the hotel.
Kataragama - Maldives
After breakfast at the hotel, you will then be transferred to Colombo International Airport where you will be taking your 2 hours 15 minutes flight to the Maldives. Our representative will meet you at the Male International Airport and assist with the transfers by seaplane to the chosen beach property. Relax, unwind and soak in the perfect Maldivian vibe and hospitality.
The Maldives is set in the warm Indian Ocean composed of 26 naturally formed atolls with over 1190 islands and sandbanks. And, let us be honest that each island here is unique in its own way. You have some of the best featuring coral reefs, the best diving sites in the world, lush tropical island fauna and a rich and diverse culture.
Maldives
You have come to the end of the tour. Today, after breakfast, you will be transferred back to Male International Airport for your flight back home.
